Funhouse is run by chef and guitarist Tsubasa Muratani. His connections run through L.A. punk as well as Japanese cooking.
Razorcake #150 features an interview with Tsubasa by Martin Wong, listing Funhouse alongside Rough Kids, Psychoactive and The Sacred.
The room carries vintage show flyers, framed punk memorabilia and band gear. Black Flag, the Weirdos and the Nerves are among the names visible in the collection.
It’s a place where the food and the music belong to the same story. Take a seat. Look around. Stay a while.

Tsubasa moved from Fukuoka to Los Angeles in 2005 to pursue punk rock. A decade at Sushi Enya became part of his culinary story. At Funhouse, the kitchen and the music finally share an address.
